LeDucs Score Third
Consecutive Best In The Desert Series Victory During the TSCO “Vegas to
Reno” Endurance Race

RENO, NEVADA – Curt and Todd LeDuc, father and son racers from Cherry
Valley, California, with navigator Brent Wendt; captured their third
consecutive Class 8000 Best In The Desert racing series win on Toyo®
Open Country M/T® tires during the TSCO “Vegas to Reno” race this past
weekend. Billed as “The Longest Off-Road Race in the United States”, the
Las Vegas-to-Reno race is 565-miles in length over a variety of
punishing terrain across the vast Nevada desert.
The win is especially sweet as the LeDuc’s ROCKSTAR Energy Drink/Toyo
Tires/Skyjacker Ford truck started in 109th position out of
149-competitors, yet finished fourth overall. The team competed on the
same front tires during the entire race, while making a standard rear
tire change during the half way point of the event.
“We never had any tire failures during the entire race,” said Todd LeDuc.
“The last hill before the finish is the most challenging because it is
covered with sharp rocks. We were surprised and relieved to not have to
replace a tire in that section. Our Toyo’s were great.”
The LeDucs are dominating the 2007 Class 8000 points in Best In The
Desert. Besides the three consecutive victories in the Best In The
Desert off-road series, the LeDucs also competed in the SNORE KC
HiLights Midnight Special in June, winning their class in that race as
well. Last weekend’s victory makes it four consecutive desert race wins
in a row for the team.
“The LeDucs have been unstoppable in desert racing and we congratulate
them on winning their fourth consecutive race in 2007,” said Stan Chen,
