PRO-4 - Round One
-
The start saw Johnny Greaves in his Monster Energy Potowatomi
BFGoodrich Tires Toyota take the lead coming out of turn one. In
quick pursuit were Renezeder, Douglas, and Huseman. At the
mandatory yellow Renezeder pulls off with driveline problems.
After the restart, Scott Douglas in his AMSOIL Sycuan Casino
Kumho Tire Ford is looking to find a way around Greaves. After a
couple of laps, tries to pass Greaves on the inside going into
turn two. Both truck touch, sending Douglas rolling into and
over the K-Rail outside of turn two. The final two laps
saw Greaves unchallenged to the checkers.

-
As Greaves headed for the victory podium, Douglas met Greaves in
his truck, and unleashed a few stout words about the
contact the two had causing Douglas' early exit.

PRO-2 - Round One
-
Rob MacCachern grabbed the holeshot in his first drive in the
Barlow Racing Red Bull BFGoodrich Tires Ford F-150. Behind "Mac"
there was quite a bit of bumping. Dan Vandenhuvel and Ricky
Johnson didn't make turn two as rear suspension damage due to
contact ended his day early. As the mandatory yellow
approached, suddenly an energy drink battle broke out. Todd LeDuc in his Rockstar Skyjacker Toyo Tires Ford made a
great move to pickup two spots and the lead. Then Jerry Whelchel in
his Monster Energy Wide Open Baja BFGoodrich Ford entered the
battle with all three truck swapping positions.

-
At the finish it was 1st - Red Bull, 2nd - Monster, and 3rd -
Rockstar.

PRO-Lite - Round One
-
The early lead was taken by fast qualifier Jeff Huseman. Behind
Huseman, Marty Hart and Robert Naughton battled for several
laps. On lap 5 Naughton took the lead as Huseman got slightly out
of shape. Then Marty Hart got sideways coming off one of the
grandstand jumps, enabling several trucks to move up. After the
mandatory yellow, Kyle LeDuc, after starting back in the back,
and Casey Currie, spinning on lap one, reached the leaders and
both were looking for the podium. Currie and LeDuc moved up to
second and third respectively heading into the final lap.

-
At the flag Robert Naughton came home first, with Casey Currie
second, just ahead of Kyle LeDuc.

Baldwin Cup PRO-4 Qualifier
-
On the pole was Johnny Greaves, looking to go two-for-two on the
day, but Renezeder and Douglas, in his backup truck, had other
ideas.
-
-
The start Rick Huseman in his Fabtech BFGoodrich Tires Toyota
grabbed the lead with Carl Renezeder in his Lucas Oil BFGoodrich
Chevy on his bumper. As for Greaves, he stalled the engine as
the start and came out out turn one almost dead last. On lap
five Renezeder got around Huseman as his hood came loose, making
almost impossible to see out the front of the truck. Then
Douglas lost the front drive and retired. At the yellow, Huseman
pulled into the pits to remove his hood, and now Greaves had
made his way into second place, with Ricky Johnson in third.
-
When racing resumed, it was an epic battle between Greaves
and Renezeder. The last two laps saw the two champions race side
by side, making contact with each other, as they
passed each for the lead. As the two headed into the final set
of grandstand jumps, Greaves made the pass stick and beat Renezeder to the checkered flag. It was an incredible
first race for the NBC Sports crew to cover.
