CORR RULE BOOK RELEASED
Newport Beach, CA (February 13, 2007)—Championship Off Road Racing
officially released the 2007 CORR Rule book today. CORR officials have
been hard at work since November updating the Rule Book; their aim, to
eliminate mid-season rule changes and increase safety.
“One of the many things we reviewed were the protest procedures, said CORR
Competition Director, Tony Vanillo. “We want drivers to walk away from a
race happy, knowing they received a fair shake without any bias.”
Vanillo and CORR Technical Director, Gary Lane worked closely with Jim
Badwin and the rest of the CORR team to figure out the strong and weak
points of the 2006 Rule Book and make the appropriate changes.
“Many of the changes to the CORR Rule book had to do with safety, said
Lane. “Our big goal this year was to make the trucks safer for the drivers
and the fans.”
Some safety changes include the requirement of full-faced helmets, head
and neck restraints. Changes have also been made to the Fuel Cell Mounting
rules. Drivers are instructed to read through the 2007 Rule Book to note
changes.
Questions regarding the Rule Book may be directed to Tech@CORRacing.com,

“We have a great year ahead of us, new trucks, new tracks…it’s going to be
wild,” said Lane.
