Travis Coyne to Run on Toyo® Open Country M/T® Tires in
SCORE-International and CORR Racing
- April
9, 2008 – Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. announces the company has signed
Travis Coyne as the newest member of Team Toyo™ Off-Road. Coyne
competes in both SCORE-International with a Trophy Truck, and CORR
(Championship Off-Road Racing™) with a Pro 4™ class racing truck. Both
desert and short course #5 Pro Comp Suspension/KMC Wheels/Monster
Energy/Toyo Tires™ Ford trucks now run on Toyo® Open Country M/T®-R
tires, the same tire that won the 2006 Baja 1000.
At 28-years old, Coyne is one of the young guns of off-road truck
racing, finishing the 2007 season in the top five for both CORR Pro 4
and SCORE Trophy Truck points championships.
"I am excited to be a part of Team Toyo and can't wait to kick-off the
2008 season," said Coyne. "Toyo Open Country M/T tires have a great
reputation in off-road racing."

"Travis will be a great asset to Team Toyo," commented Stan Chen,
manager of events and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. "He has the
determination and talent to join other Team Toyo drivers on the podium
using our Open Country M/T tires."
The Open Country M/T is available in sizes from 33- to 40-inches in
diameter for rims from 15- to 24-inches. It features hook-shaped tread
blocks, scalloped shoulder blocks and a high performance cap ply
construction for excellent off road traction. A three-ply casing
delivers superior handling both on and off-road while adding to the
life of the tire. CASPAN™ (Computer-Aided Simulator for Pattern Noise)
technology, results in the Open Country M/T being one of the quietest
mud terrain tires on the market.
