MID AMERICA OFF ROAD ASSOCIATION RACE #6
Off road race fans
and drivers are making plans for the MID AMERICA OFF ROAD ASSOCIATION'S RACE
# 6 being held in historic Greenup, Illinois. Soggy Bottom Raceway will host
this one of a kind event for the points series on Saturday August 25th. Chad
Justice will pull out all the stops to make this the race to remember for
2007.
Beginning with a parade to Downtown Greenup at 8:30 a.m. the racers will
register and have their technical inspection as well as contingency row in
the village square. Village Clerk Nancy Sower looks forward to an enjoyable
downtown event in MAORA's home town. Fans can meet the drivers and check out
the vehicles before the parade back to the track at 11:00 a.m. . The newly
rebuilt off road track will with out question challenge the best short
course racers in the series.
With over $1,200.00 in contingency monies posted, this race will bring fans
the best that the Midwest has to offer in off road entertainment. Soggy
Bottom Raceway is located just 1 1/2 miles West Of Greenup on Rt. 121 and
Co. road 1600 E. , and this weekend is sure to once again prove to be an
experience for both fans and racers alike.
In
Class 10 Brian Daffron from Camby, Indiana, has a comfortable lead in this
unlimited Buggy Class.
In
the unlimited truck Class 7s, Neoga, Illinois Richard Albin, will attempt to
beat Greenup's own Corey Chapman as these two are only 104 points
apart.Corey is sure to put the metal down at his home town track.
Class 16 driver Kyle Lucas, from English, Indiana, is also just 104 points
in front of Indianapolis Indiana's Walt Sears.
The Father son team of Tim and Adam Scherer from Noble Illinois are sure to
keep the fans on their feet in Class 7e, but the action in this Class will
be between who is currently in third place by just 16 points, Effingham's
Justin Brummer.
From the downtown contingency row and tech inspection to the home town short
course track this should prove to be the The hottest action of the 2007 off
