TROPHYLITES Are Ready To Light Up The Night

Heber, California (August 3, 2008) – The KMC Wheels TROPHYLITE Series Presented by KC HiLiTES inaugural season continues at the SNORE KC HiLiTES Midnight Special in Primm, Nevada on Saturday, August 8th. The race promises to be a unique challenge as it is the longest race on the schedule in addition to being run at night. An astounding 17 TROPHYLITE teams have pre-entered to compete for the $12,125 purse along with the valuable points towards the KMC Wheels TROPHYLITE Championship Presented by KC HiLiTES.

The KC HiLiTES Midnight Special will traverse four times around a 50 mile loop. After a technical inspection the night before and a single lap reconnaissance the morning of the race, TROPHYLITE teams will start at approximately 7:00 PM, providing just enough daylight to begin before darkness sets in and drivers switch on their KC HiLiTES to battle it out into the night.

As TROPHYLITE teams battle for supremacy in the Nevada desert, the cameras for the new Off-Road USA TV show will be covering the TROPHYLITE action in earnest as they complete the shows pilot episode. Off-Road USA host Cameron Steele will split driving duties with TROPHYLITE co-founder David Scaroni in hopes of giving the viewer a more in-depth view of the KMC Wheels TROPHYLITE Series Presented by KC HiLiTES. Steele and Scaroni will maintain exhibition status and will not be racing for points or money.

After two races, Lone Kid Racing’s Logan Knecht holds a slim two point advantage over Gary Messer with Bruce Finchum five points further adrift in the battle for the KMC Wheels TROPHYLITE Championship Presented by KC HiLiTES. It should be noted that drivers are allowed one throw out race so the championship is anything but decided.

After the SNORE KC HiLiTES Midnight Special, TROPHYLITE competitors will return for the Best in the Desert Golden West Cycle Las Vegas 150, October 24-26 followed by the Series finale at the Glen Helen Baja Cup.
