TRIO OF CHAMPIONS APPOINTED BY WSORR
Douglas, Hord, Taylor Join PRO Off-Road Race Council
March 18, 2007 - CRANDON, WI – The Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road
Racing has announced the formation of a PRO Driver’s Advisory Council
(P-DAC). The Council will provide racer consultation to the World Series
in the areas of safety, rules, marketing, track design, scheduling,
sponsors and more.
Appointed are three veteran championship racers from WSORR’s
professional ranks. They include Scott Taylor (PRO 2WD high performance
pickup racing class); Chad Hord (PRO Light Pickup class); and Scott
Douglas, PRO 4x4 high performance pickup racing class). All three
champion off-road racers are among the most well-known in off-road
racing circles and bring more than 75 years of combined experience to
the Council.
P-DAC joins an existing group of World Series SRT Division class
representatives that provide valuable input and advice on similar
rules and direction for that division. Six racers are included on the
SRT-DAC. The WSORR SRT Division is a stepping stone division to the
PRO ranks.
The Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing kicks off its inaugural
season this coming May 19-20 at the Steele County Fairgrounds in
Owatonna, MN. That race weekend is part of a 14 race circuit traveling
throughout the Midwest. WSORR events will be broadcast nationally on
SPEED TV Network in prime time viewing slots.
