WSORR SPEED TV PRODUCTION TEAM ANNOUNCED

PALOS HILLS, IL -- The Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing (WSORR)
has announced NeWave Television Productions as the production
company for the 2007 WSORR television series on SPEED. With 18
original one-hour prime time programs, NeWave Television Productions
will produce and concentrate on bringing drivers, teams, fans, and
sponsors a high quality, race results orientated Series.
“Lucas Oil has a long and successful history with NeWave Television
Productions and we are proud to announce them as the production
company for the Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing,” stated
Bob Patison, executive vice president, Lucas Oil Products. “The
NeWave team has a serious passion for motorsports and have produced
technically sound and innovative programming for Lucas Oil, SPEED
and a number of other television networks,” said Patison.
Since 1994, NeWave has produced hundreds of TV programs and recent
credits include Lucas Oil: On the Edge, NitroJam IHRA Drag Racing
Series, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, ASA Speed Truck Challenge
and Lucas Oil IHBA Drag Boat Racing for the SPEED and Versus
networks.
NeWave will be taping the entire Series and will be joined by new as
well as familiar faces in front and behind the cameras. The majority
of the production crew has worked at WSORR tracks in the past. The
broadcast team is in the process of being solidified and will be
announced soon.
“We are really looking forward to broadening our motorsports
programming and bringing this television Series back to the race
results show that teams, sponsors, and drivers deserve,” said Steve
Grein, executive producer for NeWave Television Productions. “We
pride ourselves on our attention to detail and the relationships we
form with drivers, teams and sponsors during the course of
production,” he said. “A prime time show requires a prime time
production and we are delighted to be a part of this high impact,
colorful and dramatic Series.”
At the opening WSORR race in Owatonna, MN, the NeWave Television
Productions crew will be visible on track and in the pits. “We plan
to introduce ourselves to the drivers and crews to build an
immediate comfort level,” said Jen Ashley, producer of the WSORR TV
Series. “Our whole team is excited about this opportunity and looks
forward to bringing our experience to the WSORR television Series.”
The Series will begin airing on SPEED in late 2007. WSORR will
feature a total of 36 hours of prime time and repeat programming on
SPEED. All 14 rounds of PRO points racing in three classes will be
broadcast. Additionally, two “heavy metal challenge races”,
including the most significant off-road race in the nation -- the
BorgWarner Shootout -- will be aired. WSORR will broadcast a total
of six hours of SRT Division racing.
