GENERAL TIRE NAMED “OFFICIAL TIRE” OF OFF-ROAD WORLD SERIES
CORONA, Calif., May 7, 2008 – Team Lucas has announced that
General Tire will serve as the official tire of the Lucas Oil
World Series of Off-Road Racing (WSORR) for the 2008 season and
beyond. General Tire is one of the premier Team Lucas sponsors and
the announcement extends General Tire’s exposure to the growing
off-road racing market in the U.S.
“We
are excited to introduce the General Tire brand to the Lucas Oil
World Series of Off-Road Racing,” said Travis Roffler, director of
marketing, General Tire. The WSORR is the perfect venue to promote
the General Tire Grabber line of light truck and SUV tires,” he
said. “The new General Grabber HTS tire was born from off-road
racing and this line will continue to expand to meet the demands
of the light truck market. General Tire is proud to be the
official tire of WSORR and we will continue to live up to that
name,” he emphasized.
Team Lucas is a sponsor “package” that provides marketing and
exposure opportunities across several Lucas Oil Products
properties, ranging from the NFL Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis
to powerboat racing to tractor pulls and the World Series of
Off-Road Racing, among others.

The Off-Road World Series (WSORR.com) season opener is May 31-June
1 at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., (lucasoilspeedway.com).

Trailer, Sunoco Race Fuels and the Forest County Potawatomi as
official Series sponsors. The Series races off-road pickup trucks
and buggies in front of live spectator audiences throughout the
Midwest and the Series is shown nationally on SPEED Channel.
