Miller Electric Welders and Crandon Raceway Continue
Partnership
CRANDON, Wisc., (May 17, 2008) Miller Electric Welders returns for
its 15th consecutive season as a sponsor at off-road racing’s most
well-known citadel – Crandon International Off-Road Raceway.
Miller Welders is part of a record season of 2008 sponsorship at
Crandon. Once again, high performance, high quality Miller
Electric Welders will serve as key prizes for Lucas Oil World
Series of Off-Road Racing competitors at the two most established
and prestigious off-road races in the U.S.
At the 15th annual Forest County Potawatomi Chairman’s Cup
Challenge race set for Sunday, June 23, 2008 at Crandon, the
winner of the 10-lap high-speed romp will not only share in a
$50,000 purse for the race but receive a traditional Millermatic
welder.
The prize for the June race is a Millermatic 140 with Auto-Set
all-in-one wire welding package . The system welds 24 gauge-3/16”
mild steel and is among the simplest Millermatic to set up and
begin welding. Included with the Millermatic 140 prize is an
additional prize o a "Spoolmate 100 Series". The Miller equipment
is valued at more than $1,000.
Fans can see the race at the annual Forest County Potawatomi Brush
Run Races this coming June 22-23 at Crandon Raceway.
At off-road racing’s largest event – the annual BorgWarner World
Championship Off-Road Races® -- a Miller Electric Welder will
again be a key prize for the winner of the annual BorgWarner
Shootout. That race will be held Sunday, August 31 at Crandon. The
event closes out the Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing
season as well.
Winner of the 14th annual BorgWarner Shootout will receive a
Millermatic 212 valued at $2,000. The unit welds material from 22
gauge to 3/8” in thickness in a single pass. The system features a
new angled drive among other innovative features.
