World Series of Off-Road Racing Web Site Launched

DENVER, CO -- The Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing (WSORR) has officially and legally announced the registration of a domain name and the launch of its web site at www.wsorr.com. WSORR has been working with a nationally-based web site developer to create and host the site for the popular sanctioning organization's inaugural 2007 season.

"We have lift-off," said Doug Davis, general manager, WSORR. "Bookmark www.wsorr.com  today."

"Many have been looking forward to the launch of our new web site with much anticipation," said Davis. "Racers, off-road racing fans, sponsors, promoters and the media are now able to quickly access our site for the very latest information on the World Series," he said. "Our web site currently represents our founding sponsors -- Lucas Oil, Forest County Potawatomi and BorgWarner -- as well as SPEED Network TV and it will also showcase the many sponsors and race teams who join us as we grow," he added.

"We have worked closely with the web site design team to come up with a tailored look and functionality that will not only serve our current closed-course race community, but also to attract new fans to our sport," said Steve Weiss, director of communications & multimedia, WSORR.

"WSORR.COM incorporates the latest search engine optimization technology to make it very easy for new fans to find us on the Internet," said Weiss. "We also have made arrangements with our web hosting team to continually add new content to our site. This is a fast-moving, colorful sport, and our fans, sponsors and race teams expect us to respond quickly with race results, video, photos, and other news and information vital to our Series," he said.

Weiss noted that visitors to www.wsorr.com
will find some exciting new features unique to closed-course racing as well as the traditional information available on a professionally-managed race web site. "Of all the functions of a web site, for all its razzle and dazzle, it means nothing if there is not an open link of communication with the viewing audience," said Weiss. "We have a link directly to key management at WSORR to send notes, messages and comments and that link says it all -- talk2us@wsorr.com," he said.

The Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing has established itself as a nationwide short course racing Series with a three-year prime time SPEED Network television package through the 2009 season.

In addition to a three-year Lucas Oil title sponsorship, the Forest County Potawatomi Community (FCP) receives additional World Series presenting rights as part of a major sponsorship package, also for three years.

BorgWarner has also committed to the WSORR and the number one short course off-road race in the country -- the annual BorgWarner Shootout for the prestigious $125,000 BorgWarner Cup -- will be a key event exclusively on the 2007 WSORR tour.

Headquartered in the Midwest -- the "Mecca” of short course off-road racing, the World Series of Off-Road Racing features three divisions of off-road racing. The Divisions encompass full size, high horsepower "Heavy Metal" 4x4 and 2WD pickup trucks, a "Light Metal" mid-size race pickup class, and several other entertaining classes ranging from entry-level off-road race vehicles to high performance buggies.

A record number of competitors and fans attended off-road races in 2006 and the World Series of Off-Road Racing will continue to showcase this fast-growing, fast-moving motorsport in exciting venues across the country. "The WSORR web site is a great way to end 2006 and certainly to begin a new, more fun chapter in off-road racing for 2007 and beyond," said Davis. "Steve Weiss put countless hours into this first-class web site, conferring with others, sponsors and the media about creating a highly visual and usable tool for the WSORR. The WSORR is indebted to him for his yeoman's effort."

While many off-road racers and fans are expected to peruse wsorr.com this coming holiday season, off-road racing enthusiasts are also encouraged to visit the WSORR title sponsor site at www.lucasoil.com
