Frana Finishes Fourth at Crandon
NO. 907: Not Your Everyday Super Buggy -
Crandon, WI - Rounds III and IV of the World Series of Off Road Racing
were held at Crandon International Raceway this weekend. John Frana of
Loves Park competed in the Pro Super Buggy class, running fourth in
the Saturday race when the engine blew, causing him to finish seventh.

Saturday night, the crew installed the back up engine in time for
Frana to start Sunday’s race. Downpours had turned the track into a
mud pit, but the 4WD buggy finished fourth, putting Frana currently in
fifth place in the season standings.
There’s
no doubt about it, Frana’s car is one of a kind. Its unique
four-wheel drive system sets it apart from the rest of the two-wheel
drive buggies in the WSORR Super Buggy Sportsman Division. Designed
by Frana on Solidworks, the new five-speed sequential shift four
wheel drive gearbox makes its race debut in the WSORR series.
Frana Vehicles is the only Super Buggy in the series that designs and
builds their own buggy and transmissions.
# 907 sports a midframe mounted 200 horsepower Honda B16 engine.
Custom axles and CV joints are provided by RCV Performance Products (www.rcvperformance.com),
where Frana is currently the performance products engineer. Racerunner
Shocks are designed by Sway-A-Way (www.swayaway.com) and specially
grooved off-road racing tires are prepared by BF Goodrich.
WSORR events are now being broadcasted on SPEED Channel. Tune in to
watch racers, like Frana, compete for the win.
