Gerald Racing Team sweeps Crandon Brush Run! Matt and his team
returned to Crandon International Raceway this past weekend to
race for the first time since his season-ending rollover there
last fall with a mission to win. Gerald was able to pull the hole
shot both days and lead every lap resulting in a win for both
rounds III and IV.
“The car was fast right out of the trailer, we didn’t have to make
any adjustments, I was very happy with the Potawatomi, Good Year,
Amsoil 195 buggy” said a very enthusiastic Matt Gerald at the end
of the weekend.
The team was very proud to win in front of their title sponsor’s,
Forest County Potawatomi, home track. “We’re very happy that
Forest County Potawatomi took a chance with us this year, and
we’re glad that we’re making them proud.” “We did a lot of testing
in Crandon in the spring and made the necessary adjustments to our
new chassis. Our King shocks were working great along with our
Amsoil keeping our motor running cool. The Goodyear tires were
hooking up great allowing me to pull the hole shot both days. I
was able to keep my head down and keep the mistakes down to a
minimum,” commented Gerald.
Friday kicked off the weekend for Gerald Racing Team at the annual
Forest County Potawatomi Tribal picnic where Matt attended with
fellow teammates, Jeff Kincaid and Ben Wandahsega. Matt was able
to meet with council members and tribal members.
Gerald Racing Team would like to welcome aboard Amsoil for this
first time this weekend.
Gerald now leads the points race by 12 points.
Gerald Racing Team would like to thank all of their sponsors,
