In Addition to 2-Wheel Drive Class

NASHVILLE, TN. (June 19, 2007) – Nissan Motorsports and Carl
Renezeder today introduced a new Nissan race truck for the 2007
season, a 4-wheel drive Nissan Titan-bodied racing machine. This new
715-horsepower truck will compete in the PRO 4x4 class in the
newly-formed Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing (WSORR).
Renezeder’s all-new 4-wheel drive race truck makes its debut June 23
and 24 at the WSORR Forest County Potawatomi Brush Run Races at
Crandon Raceway, Crandon, Wisc.
“An all-new Nissan Motorsports race truck is an important milestone
for Nissan as we continue to build our off-road racing legacy,” said
Nissan Motorsports Marketing and Operations Senior Manager Ron
Stukenberg. “Having a driver of the championship caliber of Carl
Renezeder behind the wheel is an added bonus. He’s had great success
in the 2-wheel drive Titan, and we know he’ll be in the record books
with the 4-wheel drive model.”

Renezeder will be running the new 4-wheel drive Titan-bodied race
truck in addition to his class winning championship 2-wheel drive
Titan-bodied race truck in the PRO 2WD (WSORR) and Pro-2 Championship
Off Road Racing (CORR) class.
The 4-Wheel Drive Nissan Titan Race Truck
Prepared by Carl Renezeder’s top-flight racing team, the new race
truck offers a number of unique features –most notably the adoption of
a manual transmission, versus the automatic transmission regularly
utilized in this class. “The five-speed manual transmission is more
robust than the automatic, and also takes less horsepower away from
the driveline,” said Renezeder.
The new Nissan Titan race truck is powered by a proven Nissan
Motorsports Endurance V8 engine with 715 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of
torque race truck. The 4,100 pound racing vehicle rides on a long
116-inch wheelbase, with 18 inches of front wheel travel and 20 inches
of rear wheel travel.
Once the new Titan racer was completed, it was extensively tested,
with impressive results. “Out of the box the new Titan felt
competitive, and the lap times in our test sessions supported that,”
said Renezeder. “No doubt there will be some ‘teething’ issues with
this new truck, as with any new program, but I have total confidence
in my team and the direction we’re going.”

With more than 52 Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) wins on his
resume, including three CORR Championships – the most recent in 2006
with the debut of the Pro-2 Nissan Titan-bodied race truck – Lake
Forest, Calif. native Carl Renezeder is truly a force to be reckoned
with in off-road competition. Thanks to his considerable
accomplishments, the 43-year old Renezeder received one of the most
prestigious accolades in off-road racing as Dirt Sports Magazine’s
“2006 Driver of the Year,” besting a variety of other racers in
various off-road racing series.
Renezeder is known for his versatility and willingness to drive just
about any off-road vehicle he can get his hands on – during a typical
race weekend he may drive two classes of trucks. To that end,
Renezeder will be driving Nissan Motorsports-supported Titan race
trucks in both PRO 2WD/Pro-2 and PRO 4x4/Pro-4 classes.
“After the phenomenal success in 2006 with the debut of our 2-wheel
drive Nissan Titan-bodied race truck - with six wins and a CORR Pro-2
championship - it only made sense to take what our team learned and
parlay it into a 4-wheel drive program,” said Renezeder. “Partnering
with Nissan Motorsports has been a huge step forward for our program,
and we constantly strive to live up to their unwavering belief in our
team. The Titan program is unmatched in off-road racing, and I’m proud
to be a partner of Nissan Motorsports.”
