Probst Motorsports Begins New Era with New Teammates
Team
owner and veteran off-road racer, Kevin Probst, has added two new
drivers, Jon Probst and George Schultz, to the New Lenox, Illinois based
race team. All three drivers will be competing in the inaugural season
of the Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing.

Kevin Probst will continue to compete in the PRO 2WD division in his
#99Toyo Tire shod Chevrolet Silverado.
Jon Probst and George Schultz will share driving responsibilities as the
two develop a brand new PRO Light race truck.
In 2008, team plans on campaigning a second PRO Light, expanding the
team to a total of three full time race trucks.
This will be Jon Probst’s sophomore year behind the wheel of a PRO Light
truck. In 2006 Jon piloted a Chevrolet S-10 for Paul Morris Motorsports.
Before his time behind the wheel, Jon had become accomplished fabricator
working with his dad, Jeff Probst and his uncle Kevin. His talent goes
way beyond his time behind the wheel.
George Schultz, competed in SODA and CORR from 1994-2000, driving a
Sportsman 2 Ford F-150. Since then, the Marquette University engineering
graduate, has spent the several seasons behind the wheel of a late-model
stock competing in the Mid-American Stock Car series. Early in his
off-road career, George grabbed the top spot three times. In his last 46
Mid-American starts, George finished in the Top 5, an amazing 30 times,
including seven wins.
“Bringing the talents of Jon and George together, will really speed up
the development process of our PRO Light program,” commented Kevin
Probst. “The guys understand we must ensure our first venture into the
mid-size truck division is competing at the highest level before we
start on the second truck. I have confidence we will have both trucks
competing for podium positions before the end of the season.”
