The Boys from
Illinois are Ready for Crandon
June 18, 2007 (Lake
Zurich, IL) – Last weekend saw Sticker Dude Motorsports pack up the
transporter and head to Crandon, Wisconsin to test the #942
Toyota-powered Super Buggy and #24 Toyota Tacoma PRO-Light.
The team had a strong
showing at the WSORR opener at Owatonna, despite the lack of pre-season
testing.
“The test session was
important for both of us to fine tune our Fox Shox suspension,”
commented Luke Zoetmulder. “Then being able to do this at Crandon, will
benefit us even more!”
The team also took
the time to compare tire grooving, and difference between used and new
sets of race tire tires.
During the test
session, Federico ran laps on the set of tires that were on the truck
for Round Two, and compared the laps times when the truck ran a fresh
set of Hankook DynaPro MTs.
“The Hankook DynaPro
MT tire is amazing,” stated Steven Federico. ”The lap times, with the
used set of DynaPro’s, were within two tenths of second of a brand new
set. The Hankook’s really hook up great coming out of the corners. It
really allows me to carry more speed heading into Turn One. Even in the
“esses” I don’t have to lift.”
