Waldvogel
Teams with Bendix Brakes to Campaign WSORR Super Truck in ‘07
March 19, 2007(Fond du Lac, WI) The Waldvogel Off-Road Racing Team has
signed Bendix by Honeywell as a primary sponsor to campaign the Bendix
Brakes/Wal dvogel
Racing Super Truck in the World Series of Off-Road Racing (WSORR) in 2007.
In 2006, the Bendix Brakes/Waldvogel Racing team saw huge success, winning
four races and the 2006 Crandon World Championship in the highly
competitive CORR Stock Truck division. Bendix is entering their third year
of involvement with the Waldvogel Racing team.
Over that time period, Waldvogel Racing owner/driver Dave Waldvogel has
racked up several class victories and a season points championship (2005).
Dave and the team will take their knowledge and experience to the next
level by moving up to the Super Truck division, which is the last stepping
stone before the Pro Series in short-course off-road racing.
The WSORR Super Truck division is a high-horsepower, fully-modified
off-road race truck division. Trucks competing in this division are based
on ½-ton 4x2 production pick-ups. With speeds reaching 100 miles per hour
and jumps spanning distances over 150 feet through the air, this division
is a pure adrenaline rush for spectators both at the track and at home on
television. WSORR Super Truck racing will be televised on the SPEED
channel in 2007.
WSORR will take their show to several Midwestern states in 2007, including
Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Missouri. The season kicks off on May
19th in Owatonna, Minnesota for rounds 1 & 2 of competition.
Bendix by Honeywell, a division of Honeywell International Inc., has been
